Ingredients

Cake:

1 package of Vanilla cake mixture (Betty Crocker-Alwazzan)

1 cup of water

1/3 cup of oil

3 big eggs

1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla

 Filling:

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/2 of peeled almonds

1/4 cup of milled nuts

2 teaspoons of cinnamon (Darsin)

1/4 of apricot jam

Ingredients of White cream sauce

(Betty Crocker-Alwazzan)

1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon of liquid vanillia

3-4 tablespoons of cream or milk

 

For garnish:

Nuts and almonds

 

Preparation

1)       The cake: preheat the oven till 350 F (170C). Bring a cake mold. Brush with butter and sprinkle flour.

2)       In the mixer pot, put Betty Crocker mixture with water, oil, eggs and vanilla. Fix the whisk and mix over low speed for 2 minutes.

3)       Put mixture in the mold and make a hole on the cake surface.

4)       Filling: in an appropriate pot, combine sugar with almonds, nuts, cinnamon and jam. Mix well with a fork.

5)       Spread the filling over the cake.

6)       Enter the cake mold into the oven and bake it for 35-40 minutes until cooked. Remove the cake from the mold and put it aside to cool.

7)       White cream sauce. In a small saucepan, mix powdered sugar with vanilla. Add gradually the cream while blending with a fork until having a thick white sauce. Pour sauce over cake so that it runs on cake sides flavorfully.

Sprinkle nuts and almonds over the cake and serve with tea
